how much psi did you pump it up to
the rips size, shape and location can give clues as to its cause
just from your pic that rip looks tire lever width, so it may have been poked and folded with the pointy end of the tire lever
or become pinched between the rim and inside edge of the tire bead as the tire was being levered onto the rim
some edge cases I have seen
>threaded portion of spokes protruding though rim tape>metal burr on the valve hole>rubber rim tape jammed into valve hole in the rim, restricting the movement of the valve as the tire is seated and inflated>rim tape out of alignment or twisted>metal portion of the valve detached from the inner-tube>low quality inner tube popping randomly>wire bead no fitting well into a particular rim, inner tube de beads the tire above 20 psi
