If the 1972 Chilean Air Force chartered flight that crashed in the Andes and forced the remaining survivors to resort to cannibalism to survive had crashed today, would we have a 100% chance of finding them within a day or two or sooner?

Damn good question, i assume that area must have had some money put into radar and communications systems over the last 50 years; even if the option for tech that could have broadcast its position exactly like flight 370 didnt have was not purchased for the aircraft. Probably a dash-8 or something similar in this scenario?

nope, never expect rescue, always go searching for help the same day unless there is a blizzard.

also the pilot fucked up, you gain a lot altitude first then cross the Andes

I would also consider search aircraft capability and satellite imagery. I'd say the likelihood of rescue is much higher these days.
