>>170199120 years ago, I'd say Poland, but it's gone to shit. I'd recommend Montenegro - it's not really public transport, but it's working very well and you can move all over the country withing like 2 hours for cheap.
Other experiences:
Germany - absolute trash. Transport isn't bad, but unless you have coins on you all the time, expect to have problems, cause they're stuck in the 19th century when it comes to paying. Besides that, it's pretty good.
UK - expensive, but nobody seems to give shit if you pay and people who drive you are super nice, just don't expect a bus to stop when you're waiting, if it's full, it'll just move on. On the other hand, once you get on them buses it gets pretty weird in a good way:
>be dumb and lose my 24h ticket>enter bus>oh shit I lost my ticket, can I buy one? Here's a 20 quid note I don't have change>it's fine mate, don't have spare change either, just take the ride>dude stops the bus at a random place that's not even a stop, informs me it's the best place to get out to where I'm staying and helps with the luggage>other passengers are not even bothered>didn't cost me a pennyAs much as I dislike Brits, people working in public transport have always been fucking angels to me.
Godspeed you magnificent bastards!
