>>1703395I'm not OP but I ride a gravel bike. Lets break down your post:
>because you're fatQuite possibly. I'm 6'2" and 260lb. I also average close to 20mph on my nightly rides which are normally anywhere from 20 to 30 miles. My Italian racing bike had the frame crack after 1 summer and the low spoke count wheels bent easily. I ride down stairs, bunny hop over obstacles etc. The higher spoke count and cushy tires are a major benefit when my 260lb ass is abusing the bike. Does this anger you?
>and afraid of even the slightest possibility someone might notice how slow you are, No, not really. I get passed occasionally but it isn't often.
>and you're a neurotic who thinks he needs to carry around 45 liters of garbage on a 20 mile sunday ride "just in case"I have a single under the seat bag with 2 CO2 cartridges, CO2 pump, bicycle multi-tool, spare tube and a patch kit all in a bag the size of my fist. If you don't have these things in addition to your water bottle, that is your foolish choice.
So, I agree about the fat thing. Gravel bikes hold up much better for larger folks that actually do ride. The rest your post was not good though. It was full of vitriol nonsensical shit flinging for no reason other than to show your lack of awareness.
