But when trams started dying out after WW2 they completely replaced the tram lines in London with buses, and that contributed in the great London smog in the 50's that killed 12,000 people.
It would bring jobs, it would tape up the mouths of retiree-aged single mothers who go on enviromental protests, and it would also technically be both traditional and innovative.
