>>1710796 said, the maximum load allowed includes the semi's weight, and that was one of the specs left out on Tesla's semi. Hell, it's still an unknown, but if I had to guess, the batteries required alone would increase the weight significantly, leaving less available weight for cargo, and making Tesla's semi suddenly way less appealing to freight operators.
