>>1713327>You’re also going to spend a shitload more time waiting at stoplights and stop signs unless you choose to run themNope, you don't run em, just pause and go if it's clear.
Don't use your weasel words here.
>there are a shitload more cars in cities than there are in small town. And most of them are stopped still and parked because all needs are met in the city and we actually have walkable streets and public transport.
A stopped car can't hit me
>Don’t forget that you’ll have to contend with passing other cyclists while worrying about getting passed by other cyclists and ebike riders on busy streetsJust tell me your a pussy who doesn't take the bike of the garage, Jesus
>Oh and riding your bike is no longer a choice, it’s something you’re forced to do to carry cargo or get places transit doesn’t goGee, I dunno, I think my car parked outside would disagree with that.
>have a nice secure bag to hold extra tubes and co2 in case you get a flat and can’t get homeI mean, you're the retarded one if you're going out for a long ride ride without a patch kit or spare
That being said, once in the city I crashed my bike hard enough to get the front wheel stuck under the frame (Don't drink and ride!), unable to roll. Took me literally 5min to find a cyclist locking up his bike who helped me right out. See how long it takes for help when you don't see anyone for 20min and you've got no cell signal.
There's nothing wrong with being prepared.
However there is something wrong with acting like such a sobbing wet pussy that fucking fellow cyclists and flats scare you
