In the neighboring Hungary, many Ikarus 260s and 280s were transformed to gas powered. While they installed much smaller tanks on the roof, the frame under those were strengthened with extra parts to avoid any deformation caused by the extra weight. I don't know if any Romanian bus had been strengthened like this or not.
