>>1719011I've always thought that the highways are usually basically a "supergrid" overlaid on the main roads (in the worst parts of town, they replace main roadways, that's one reason why the traffic around Uptown, Houston, is so bad) with numerous outlets where it comes in contact with main roads. What I've never seen is where the highways don't have any main interchanges and are all terminated/entered by longer spurs.
