/TBG/ - Tall bike general

Looking to build a functional tall bike for touring with cargo space below seat. I have no experience with metalworking, so any guidance on where to start and how to best acquire bike parts and metal required would be awesome

No idea whether a step through frame on top is benefactory to mounting or dismounting. Also the chain on this one goes in a triangle as opposed to a straight line or two chains in an L-shape.

That's not how you get on a tall bike either. Usually you find or create some spot in the framework that you can use as a step between the ground and the first pedal. If you push the bike on your right you then step onto that point with your right foot, step onto the left pedal with your left foot and then swing your right foot over to get seated, all while keeping the steering straight with your left hand. Add more steps for taller bikes. For dismounting riders usually brake to walking speed and then just stand on one pedal and jump down while keeping hold of the bike, or they reverse the process of mounting.

eh if thats the way it be to you whatever. i think it would be cool for putting a nice big jukebox setup below for bike party and also camping setup for touring rail trails ive already done to get a different perspective when i have 3ft higher sightlines

Being that high up would be cool though. Riding those bikes would be a lot of fun but it is purely adrenaline type of fun from increased danger.
