>>1725895most alloy triple crank-set for mtb use I have found have a weight around 700 grams
touring triples can sometimes get closer to 600 grams but they are a bit weaker and will be harder to find
>steel handlebars weight significantly more than aluminium onesFlat handle bar with 25.4 mm clamp and 22.2 bar outer diameters - 580 mm wide and all from the year 1998
Light alloy - 150 grams
Medium alloy - 170 grams
chrome molybdenum - ??? 200 or so grams, I've not got around to weighing many parts
Cheapest heavy steel - 420 grams
there are some other parts that can weigh a bit
heavy steel quill stem 340 grams
heavy steel 150 mm long seat post 220 grams
big weight reductions can be made in the wheels, its not unusual for cheep wheels to weigh more than 1.5 kg each
along with the weight of the cassette (somewhere around 280 grams) and the chain (330 ish grams)
bad news here is that 1020 is in the picture
while ill admit that the bike frame is rarely the heaviest part of a bike this is not a good start 4u
