>>1731573i have three built up, plus 4 frames that I intend to build up. I like to have three so there's two riders and one for sale, the one for sale is usually an ex rider that has been recently usurped.
The two riders tend to be a nice but 'disposable' bike for those times when I will need to lock it up in my multicultural towen centre, I always have those 80's star nut security skewers and no QR seat post, so it's pretty much unstealeable, currently it's all based on a 1993 Muddy Fox Monarch Pro so it's the Ultralight Prestige version, with full DX (my go to unbreakable groupset), looks scruffy enough to not attract the gaze of african emigres. My second rider tends to be a better quality bike and it's for riding for pleasure, at the moment I have a late 80's Fat Chance with full XT, a lovely bike. The seller is a 92 Orange Prestige.
My next build will be a Roberts D.O.G.S B.O.L.X, and that will replace the Fat Chance which will then be sold. It's a great way to ensure I always have a ready to go bike, I never get bored of what I'm riding as I tend to switch them out fairly often, also I love building them up and it's always nice to make a few quid doing something you enjoy. p\lis I have ridden scores of some of the best of the 80s/90s steel beasts.
Rocky Mountain Hammer will come after the Roberts, I'll build that up as my thief proof town bike, will recycle the DX group for that and sell the Muddy Fox frame set, thus the cycle cycle shall continue.
