Bike used to give you complete freedom to go anywhere you wanted, in any way you wanted, whenever you wanted. Want a safe slow cruise on the sidewalk or in the park, 10 km/h average speed? Of course, just be polite. Commute at reasonable 20-25 down the road and abuse your vehicle-pedestrian superposition to never have to stop? That's what expected of you. Sneak onto a freeway shoulder and bomb down the shortcut at 55 while breating pungent fumes? Nobody would tell you off that. Bomb down stairways? People would watch in awe as you descend.
But everything's changed when the mayors pushed for bike lanes. You're stuck in your narrow cuck lane that you are forced to share with riders both much slower and, especially now with the advent of electric cunts, much faster than you, as well as parked cars on streets and mums walking their strollers in parks. And whenever you stray away from the still very limited network of bike lanes and go back to your old ways everyone suddenly becomes a massive cunt and wants you gone, because they expected their tax dollars to rid the city of pests entirely. Their quest for "inclusive enviroment" only bred hostility and needless restriction, and made me want to cycle less than ever before. Fuck this noise, I say demolish the bike lanes.
