I'd recommend to watch this guys journeys. He a bit of a retard and lives like a hobo while traveling but occasionally there's some really good tips in his videos.

I wouldn't recommend hopping into a freight car under fucking live wire. For a 3kV catenary you need to keep a 1,5-2 meters of safe distance or the current might zap you even without touching the copper. Don't know about AC catenary, which is prominent throughout the Balkans.
