A glossy blu bike is a thief magnet so would not use it for commuting, for recreational use i would look more into a specific bike the giant contend series for road or the giant talon series for off-road they should retail in the 500-700€ range.
I know that blue is a thief magnet cause i own a bike that's the same blue.
