Anything in transportation can be explored to the tightest niche:
- elevators, escalators and other people movers
- any variant of cable cars including ski lifts
- monorails
- buses no matter if inner-city or long-distance
- boats/ships/ferries
- all kinds of flying objects

remember a thread over at bikeforums that drifted into vintage typewriters - surprised me but users all seemed pretty enthusiastic to share. most old tech will gather a fair bit of interest - a guy i know with a shared appreciation for 60's slot cars collects old tv's, vintage phones, and worlds fair memorabilia. at least 20 of these old cyclops style tv's in his house but don't think he ever watches anything on them, just likes them...
