Anything angled is a waste of space on account of cars not having a parallelogram footprint. It's also only accessible from one direction and has the potential of creating blind spot issues when reversing out of spots.

In my limited judgment it seems parallel parking has the most realistic and practical application since you simply need to assign a strip on the side of a sufficiently wide road for it. Any street I see with 90° parking pockets seems like it had to be designed with those pockets in mind in the first place.

On a side note these have to be American dimensions. Parking pockets that are 18' long are ridiculous, the norm in Europe is something like 16' or 16'6, and they're not usually 9' wide either, more like 8' or 8'2.

Street space should be for moving people and goods. Through multiple modes of transportation. With limited parking allowed during off peak hours for the delivery and pick up of goods.

Lower angle is quicker to pull in and out and has better visibility. Higher angle has better density. Depends how much of an overcrowded shithole we're talking about.

cars being used as personal transport is retarded, everytime you see a car with just the driver in it you just know he's an NPC, completely oblivious to the reality that he's paying silly money to propel something that weighs more than a ton so it can propel him to the shops and back.
The best thing to do about car parking is blanket ban cars as personal transport, that will remove about 80% of cars from the equation, then those who actually need a car will have a choice about how and where to park it.

You cannot reverse into those spots OP posted, not without driving the wrong direction on the road, and many of these parking spots on streets have nose-in parking only signs because to do otherwise is suicide

It really depends on the direction of traffic flow and the angle of the spots.
