Same, I have a car but I only use it when I need to carry extra passengers of luggage, for everything else I either walk or cycle.
I have three bikes, all iterations of the 90s mtb meme
> 1985 Fat Chance which is basically ideal as a cruiser, it's in immaculate condition for its age and completely original, I even have the original tyres although I don't ride on them, they are stored away out of the light. It's slack geometry and long wheelbase make perfect for those light trails and riverside jaunts, only ever on the dryest of days mind you.
>1993 Muddy Fox which has been completely rebuilt as a commuter and wet weather rider, it's been posted elsewhere, perfect for the role it's comfortable, light for a steel bike, and fairly rapid, it's also very low key and in its way anti theft.
>1992 Chas Roberts D.O.G.S. B.O.L.X. - This is the cream of the crop, I raced this bike back in the day, it was custom built for me by Chas himself and paid for by my sponsors, it's got it's fair share of battle scars but never sustained serious damage, a beast and one of the best off road bikes ever made, a classic of the era and my choice for when I fancy leaving the beaten track.
Yeah, the car is great for long trips and all that, but the bike is my preferred mode of transport, has been since I first learned to ride and will be for the remainder of my days. I love my bikes and will never need to buy another, I have all my bases covered.
