>>1753209I'm from Bogotá. Enjoy waiting anywhere between 10 to 90 minutes for a bus you can board. Transmilenio is simply impossible to use in rush hour, except maybe if you live in the wealthy area and work in the south, but that's not common at all.
Traffic is also an absolute pain, Uber is cheap but it's gonna take you about 90 minutes for any distance around 5 km.
We don't have anything on rails here, because the higher ups said buses were good enough, and surprise, they were not, because 10 million people live here and the streets are third world as fuck, full of potholes, 5 lanes getting reduced to 2 without any warning, no merge lanes anywhere and India tier traffic.
Please get a bicycle and use our extensive bike lane network instead. Keep in mind it's pretty hectic because there are millions of commuters in them, and the bike traffic is just as insane as the road traffic. Also, be on the lookout for random obstacles, and don't bike when it's dark outside.
Not trying to discourage you here but this is far from being a functional city transportation-wise.
