I would say the fun part of biking is going fast.
Fuck those gay ass climbs, going up a slope at 20km/h is not fun at all.

I dont even know what is mine. I just measure my fitness on how fast I can go on a certain slope and for how long.
I mostly need to increase my cardio and leg power with squat and exercises anyway. no need for fancy stuff just hard work.

That's what I mean, you need to be a pro to climb at 20km/h. Basically you're busting your ass, losing weight and putting yourself under strenuous training to go slow as shit.
Racing on a bike is fun but only if you get to go fast.

TR seems to now have polarized training plans as a beta, interesting stuff.
For me it's just too expensive but when you're serious about cycling it's propably a good idea. I liked the NorCalCycling video series on it
