What shithole trams still exist in this year of our lord 2022?
First and foremost we have what is probably peak shithole tram Calcutta, which amazingly is still operating.

Alexandria somehow managed to get some new rolling stock while maintaining some of that kino shithole flair. The new trams are Ukrainian, fitting as Ukraine is a massive shithole.

Russia of course is the main reservoir for shithole trams, but many Russian systems, though somewhat decrepit, don't fully achieve that true shithole potential. Some do, however. This is Chelyabinsk.

Only Pyongyang has a bunch of swiss standard trams from the late 40s - early 50s, which they bought second hand from Zurich in 1994. They only run on the Kumsusan Line which links a metro station to the Kim Il sung mausoleum or something like that.
