mind some parts are an absolute slippery pig to adjust, needing more time than is available in a "professional" setting

wiggle the shit out of parts and bearings to check if they are bolted on tight
visually inspect all cables to avoid trouble shooting later on,
check limit screws by gently derailing the chain at low speed, going over bumps to wiggle loose pivots .etc "never ride without a screw driver"
test brakes, then hammer the brakes fully, check for cable slip and loose pads.
kind of get used to not trusting anything, suspect and verify
