America is the home to soullessness, inefficiency, and lack of utilitarian modes of infrastructure.

So I'm originally from Germany and I've been in the USA for almost three years for work. And I fucking hate covered bridges. Every fucking rural area has a ton of these and the locals find them "beautiful" and the tourists find them "quaint."

I did some work at a small town in Northern Pennsylvania and I shit you not when the check out girl at the store heard my accent and I told her I'm from Germany she said I should check out the covered bridges in the area. How bumfuck can you get when some 20 year oldish girl gets excited over fucking useless and dated bridges. Doesn't she have something better to do? This is the fruits of car mentality.

It's fucking pathetic. First of all they aren't very efficient as I mentioned earlier and can't carry very heavy loads. If Americans had any brains (big if) they'd raze each and every covered bridge and build more effective bridges or... better yet rail lines.

Anyway, it just speaks to the retarded American mind. "Hey we have no culture so let's pretend our fucking wood bridges are a world wonder"

Is this part of a cope for America's driving culture like "muh cozy scenic roads." If so that's just fucking pathetic.
