>>1760432>All companies are profit driven.>talking about companies as if they are a separate intelligence or some kind of sentient ai not in the control of humansHumans are illogical, and are driven by irrational decisions on a daily basis
Sure an easy blanket statement to make is to say they are "driven by profits" and to disregard the psychological failings of human stupidly let alone other goals and aspirations that humans arew driven by and use companies as a means to another end besides mere "profit"
In fact, I would like to reword your statement to something more based in reality:
"Some companies start up setting out to make profit and to pay for the bills of the owners, some companies start up with the intent on fulfilling the passion or interests of the owners wanting to make their skill or creations profitable and let others enjoy their ideas, becoming productive, but eventually if given enough time, most companies devolve into reductionist mentalities, that perhaps aim to maximize profit at the expense of quality among other things, and they become something that is separate from the vision the initial founders had, as it eventually becomes run by those whom hijacked it's ownership for their own interests, having no concern or care for the companies original goals or vision."
A inevitable truth that will surely come to pass is, that in all likelihood, if Elon Musk were to pass away, he companies would likely stray from his original plans and become focused on satisfying whomever the new owners will become, if the company still exists and isn't bankrupted or isn't absorbed by a larger one.
Who knows what will happen in 50 years though, maybe a new visionary will come along and be devoted enough to Musk's visions and want to fulfill them in his legacy, or maybe create entirely newer and brighter visions not yet proposed, we will all just have to wait and see.
