Does your asshole get agitated after riding a bike? I've spent this week commuting with my bike (~13km in total per day) and by the end of the week I couldn't wipe my arse due to the pain, felt like I have microtears all over, had to resort to the shower to properly clean it up

Right so you didn’t actually buy anything for the bike. You bought things that you actually use, except for the balaclava which in only good for a few days in the year maybe. You need to buy even more shit. Cycling is expensive and it’s all about buying shit and flexing..oh yeah and riding.

They're not a meme, but not everyone needs them either. Basically, do your rotors warp or turn blue from overheating? If so then finned pads can help, if not then you're fine without.

For what they cost compared to a non-finned pad, yes, very much so.
Same goes for rotors like the finned rotors like the ultegra and DA shimano ones, you're much better off with eithera cryo treated stainless rotor or something proven for both road and MTB like the SRAM centerline rotor.

How you bleed your brakes and bed in your pads is the next most important thing for good braking of course.

Also, I have to add that resin pads are total garbage for any kind of heavy duty repeated braking. Metallic is king.
