>>1762909Because road are design to trick speed perception to make it feel safe to drive fast. When you have to slow down the road makes you feel you're driving too slow making you not comfortable and impatient.
This is alright on fast roads open only to fast motor traffic like a motorway, acceptable on country roads where slower traffic such as pedal cycles or mopeds are rare but completely unacceptable in urban environments.
Of course some cagers are assholes who drive with the instinct to get kill and/or to get in some road rage situation but most of the time it is because of design.
I can feel it myself when driving:
Even though there's a 30km/h in my city center, the roads are so small, the visibility so low and the surface is made of stones that I drive patiently at 15-20km/h through it. no problems.
On the other hand there is a country road with 70km/h that passes through some villages. When entering the village the speed limit drops to 50km/h and some urban features, such as sidewalks and a narrow carriageway appear, and I happily slow down to 50km/h
But in a village they put 800m of road with a 30km/h speed limit but without any particular feature from the other villages. In that stretch of road I feel very uncomfortable driving so slow and I facts I never saw a motor vehicle drop the speed below 50km/h in that stretch
TL;DR: Cager centric design make cagers enraged when driving too slowly compared to the design's speed
