Now that air travel between Europe and Russia is kill, is there any rail route that allows to go from w. Europe to Russia?

No direct rail routes, RZD cancelled them in 2020 for you know what and they very likely won't come back for the time being.
Any Ukraine-Russia trains will be suspended for some time as well, probably the same for the Baltics.
So either you fly via Turkey/Emirates or you set yourself up for some bus/taxi rides from Finland.

easiest and safest way currently is probably taking the train to a border town in the baltics or Finland and crossing by foot

Only direct train from EU to Russia is Allegro that runs between Helsinki and St Petersburg. Due to coof restrictions only Finnish and Russian citizens can use it.

Allegro has been running since mid December. Two trips a day in both directions. Given the current happening it is mostly sold out from St Petersburg direction with lots of Russians getting away from Russia and trips from Helsinki have plenty of Russians returning home from Europe.

Now it seems like Allegro will stop running between Helsinki and St Petersburg tomorrow. Most Finns residing in Russia have returned home and basically all travelers are now Russians fleeing to west. No interest in for Finnish state railways to continue running the train at this point.
