I hate car centric city design as much as the next guy, but actively trying to make getting around a pain in the ass for cars (especially without at the very least least facilitating better alternatives) is not the solution either. There will be people who commute by car no matter what. So just make it so everyone, INCLUDING cars, can get around properly. Good public transit + good cycle paths + good footpaths + intentionally shit road design does not a good city infrastructure make. Besides mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, buses, delivery vehicles, to a degree even bicycles etc etc all suffer from intentionally car-deterring road design. I don't like car-centric cities, but car-deterring cities are no better. EVERYONE should be able to get around easily.
