What's your local line and how could it be improved?
The Speedline has many problems including
>station spacing
Stops on the Jersey side of the river are farther apart than a person would reasonably walk, and get further apart as you go East.
However, once over the bridge, every stop is literally two blocks from each other. Unless you are disabled or late, there is no reason to actually choose a station in Philadelphia because they might as well be equidistant. Talks even of adding ANOTHER station between 8th and Market and the river, which is even closer.
It's a short walk to connect with the trolley system, but it is wasted potential. Love for them to spurr it out till the River
>train frequency and bathrooms
All bars must close in the city by 2AM, hardcuttoff.
Trains at night come over an hour apart and there is zero place for anyone to piss. Homeless are kept upstairs at bay and don't venture downstairrs, I don't understand why we can't grab one of those teal clad Philly city workers to post up there and make sure no one dies, because we get close every year with everyone trying to hang over the side and piss on the tracks
>escalator standers
This is a nitpick, but ridership is obsessed with doing it, even better if they decide to do it after walking halfway up
I have missed trains for this misbehavior
She's a good little train line, I just wish she weren't so kneecapped.
Trains have been updated and have generally been accepted warmly, most importantly the station accountments which are now clear and digital instead of the aging PA system. Events expected to bring drunk drivers like NYE sees free fare for riders. (And while I'm one of them), after updating the interior, I have seen a marked decrease in open drinking on the train.
