>>1772181>my only issue is the bar tape and twineI hear you. I used to only use cork, too. Shellacked bar tape can last for a long time compared to cork bar tape. Additionally, it's beautiful. Great balance of practicality and aesthetics IMO. Give it a shot.
>>1772183>hasn't even got his levers in the right positionThe brake levers are correctly positioned on the bar. What you're seeing is that I angle my handlebars upwards instead of allowing the lower handles to be parallel with the ground. I have always done this; it's more comfortable. Technically, you are correct but I would rather ride a bicycle that feels comfortable when I ride all day.
>>1772218I don't like fenders. Never have. I live in NYC. Sometimes, I ride upstate and take the Metro North back to the city. I try to keep my bicycle out of people's way, which often requires hanging my bicycle from the luggage rack with a bungee cord. Unfortunately, I can't do that with fenders. Regarding the shifting action, it's wonderful; this group-set works beautifully.
>>1772221>Why don't these frame builders just make taller frames with more stack?I have mixed views on this. Simon offers two types of top tubes on the Kibo: horizontal and angled. I nearly purchased the angled version for exactly the reason you described; but I have always loved the classic appearance of a horizontal top-tube. I plan on purchasing another frame soon with more contemporary geometry.
>>1772232>>1772236I know. I'm sorry, bros . . . I got excited about my new bike. Maybe we could turn this thread into pybt? Share yours. I'd like to see it!
