What are the highest paying pilot jobs?

What type of pilot job pays the most? I drive semi trucks and it's chill but I just want to do something different. Always been fascinated by planes.

I've heard commercial pilots in Passenger and Freight can pull 200k to 300k or maybe more. Any truth to this? Heard firefighting pilots can make decent money working part time.

Any info?

The better airlines like lufthansa pay the best, especially when it comes to benefits.
The easiest high paying job would be corporate pilot in areas like the florida keys, europe, you'd be flying stuff like a phenom, tbm, pc12 etc. low workload, great benefits.
I would get it out of your head to look for the highest paid job, but look instead for good benefits. Salary in the industry is highly flexible, but the benefits don't tend to change in bad economic times. Look into the bigger companies for this. Often, we also have side gigs like becoming chief pilot, advisor roles within the company, consulting and teaching in aviation systems or similar fields.

not really realistic for a large carrier. They just hire people with Air Force training. I'm sure you could get your pilot's license and make some money but it would certainly be less than the 80k a year you make driving a semi.

my end goal is to either get with allegiant air (if i have a life outside of work because they get you home most often) or some other large airline
thing is idk how feasible it would be for me to get into the industry considering the huge financial barrier that is training + it seems to rely partly on luck to get into the bigger airlines
ironically i've been thnking about probably driving trucks, though not semis, just box trucks locally. pay is good and they start early and some have mon-fri scheduling too

Higher paying usually the higher pay u get. Idk if it’s still a thing but military can be a good way to get retirement and big plane experience so u can go commercial and make the big bucks after u retire or get out.

my advice is to get your hazmat certification and continue to drive 18 wheel but switch to local routes if you are sick of the long hauls.

Another alternative would be to get a job as a FO&M guy at a warehouse. Same pay essentially.

The 200k a year jobs take 10 to 20 years to get into. Its not a comfy job for a long time and requires a lot of money and time before you reap any rewards
