Whats your hub preference? Solid axle? QR? Thru Axle?

Asking because I think I saw some hate for QR skewers on another thread. Personally never had an issue with them except for a few bent ones back in the 90s when I used to ride more aggressively.

If you bent them it's because they weren't tight enough. Friction between the axle and the frame is what keeps the wheel in place, not the skewer directly.

The issue I'm having with QR skewers is that this makes them anything but QR. They're a pain to use. I hate them.

QR are good enough for anyone. Thru-axles give quality of life, I have only once tried them but the mechanism didn't seem to have any room for improper installation, unlike QR.

Kind of similar to discs vs. rim brakes. Both will stop you the same, but if discs were invented before rim brakes, nobody would be buying brakes that would work in a way that destroys the rim in the process.

If disc had come first nobody would ride bikes
