Just picked this tarmac up last night. Cleaned it today and upon inspection found some tiny fibers sticking out. Should I be worried? It's a very small chip overall

carbon is repairable until it fails so go repair it now
if you have a shop that does boats nearby they should be able to fix it, carbon and fiberglass are same tech just with different fibers

op here, I just got some jb weld plastic bonder and put it on the chips. going to go over it with auto touch up paint once it's dried

was that RETARDED or will I be okay?

I can't really see those little chips causing a huge problem. Garbon is pretty tough but I don't know if anyone here has had the same flaw go horrible wrong.

Hmm, looks like the plastic frame is starting to deteriorate. It's probably past it's 5 year service life and should be recycled as started in the owners manual. Riding it will void any legal responsibility of Specialized Bicycles LTD.
