What does /n/ think about electric kick scooters?

Personally i think they're an interesting cross between bike and e-scooter but i wouldn't want to pay more than say 500 quid for one

Can we uhh.. add a seat in the middle? If its powered it means I dont have to kick until the battery runs low. And if I've got a built in charger and can find a 120VAC outlet it means I dont have to kick at all.

There's seats for these things too but they basically turn them into weird-looking e-scooters

I've looked into them further and they're not worth it for what you get imo

Still waiting for someone to invent an ultra-portable electric motor any moron can put on his bike for less than 500 bucks, the existing solutions all have an insane markup on them

Taller wheels take less energy to turn. And I despise most hub motors since they do have a mechanical disadvantage with that 1:1 drive ratio, but some of them have internal gearing.
