>>1786511They have a 9 degree back sweep if that’s what you’re referring to.. I originally had a straight bar but I think the 9 degree bend makes it much more ergonomic.
Other than that, yes my bars are pointing downwards a bit (you can see the side diameter of the handlebar just below the stem as opposed to being turned counter-clockwise and tilting upwards more) it’s just a preference of mine.
I’m actually looking towards those extended add-ons that people use for bike packing and long treks since I find myself wanting to get into a more aerodynamic position, but a straight bar like this won’t allow for much ducking by virtue of your hand positioning (at least not comfortably).
That’s the beauty of biking as a hobby; you’re always finding ways to tweak and hone in on your ride to make things better. I had this thing stock until 2020, at which point I put down $1000 on all these upgrades and upped my performance considerably. This year I didn’t do much, save for the XTR breaks (old SLXs leaked) and a surprisingly well-made Bell 850 pump. I’m looking for a carbon hybrid frame but only Trek ( FX 1) and Argon 18 have them for insane prices..
