If you want a bike to get around town, that isn't it.

You live at the base of one of the coolest mountain ranges in the country, may I suggest a geared road bike?

It's really weird, but electric bicycle is the new moped.
Electric motorcycles in comparison are overpriced, underrated, and mostly compete for the higher power brackets, with freeway speeds and range. It's really weird, since you'd want heavier build when it's motor powered, but it really be like that.
