Anons, I'm a guy that lives in the country, about 14km from the nearest two towns (14.5 and 15.2).

I don't like cars, and don't like all the bullshit that comes with them.
>paying some globohomo usury insurance company 300 bucks (no accidents, or any issues with my driving) every month because the state deemed it necessary, even though we supposedly have "public healthcare" which I also pay taxes for AND supposedly the amount of damage I'd cause driving on a rural highway amounts to more than the minimum 3 million dollar liability insurance
>depending on gasoline trucked in from foreign nations which will inevitably run out
>being dependent on a hyper-complex mess of electrical systems, computerization / shoddy automation and exotic materials to move more than 5km

However, I also like being alive, and know a shit-ton of cyclists that broke their bodies cycling.
I wish there was some sort of vehicle which is slightly sturdier than a bike, but didn't get regulated as a "vehicle".
I know about velomobiles, pedal-assisted velomobiles, and tricycles, but I'm not sure.

Is my only option a literal horse buggy?
Any of you anons live in the country?

Thanks a ton in advance.
