it's actually insane how retarded North Americans are when it comes to designing cities. Outside of the biggest cities, we'll slap a couple painted lines next to an 80kmh freeway and call it a day for transit infrastructure. Intercity passenger trains are non-existent, the streets and interstates are choked out and filled with wasteful losers who will buy giant trucks that will remain empty 99% of the time and then fucking cry that Biden is why gas is so expensive.

We have brainless greedy city councils/constituents who will put in 90%+ mandatory single family development requirements, filling up all usable space with giant houses, capping the potential supply, and then blame foreign investors, Asians, random immigrant groups, the WE forum, their kids and whoever the fuck else they read in their tea leaves for the high housing prices.

And the fact that we chose to design our cities based around a complete fucking black hole of an expense like the automobile makes me wonder if we should just call it a day for this whole democracy prank. Maybe start sending people who don't know how to merge into gulags, idk.

Half the people here don't even take care of themselves, let alone their communities. Look at how LA is one of the most economically productive cities while being an actual subhuman infested pit of burning garbage.
