>>1788027Shanghai-Nanjing-Wuhan is probably going to happen with CRRC's transrapid knockoff sooner or later desu, in fact i'd wager beijing-shanghai-hong kong will happen someday
definitely won't replace all the CRH lines, but the big economic corridors will get it
>>1787968>hovertrainstupid, air cushions will be less efficient than maglev, and you need all the air compression equipment on the train
that's why air cushions have never really worked so far, only retarded companies like Otis made hovertrains because everyone else can see they're just wildly inferior maglevs
the train is also much shorter than any credible HSR like another anon said, and the only concept is cool-looking sleek futuristic sci-fi renders
in fact, the pic you linked is the most retarded render of all, since i live in singapore, i can tell you that there would never be a need for a high-speed rail line across marina bay because:
- there is already a metro service
- the train would get up to 150kph before needing to slow down
- there's not much demand
- building viaducts across marina bay is stupid and no one would do it
- the track would go through multiple heritage buildings and the biggest casino in the country
this company should research the location they choose for their futuristic-looking renders a bit more thoroughly
