I hate them.
- They look gay.
- You'll get thrown out if you go over a pothole
- You're just as injured if you fall from a high wheelbase cum-bent as an upright
- Climbing is a chore, they're much heavier too
- No standing peddling
- Can get just as aero doing a super tuck or aero tuck on a regular bike
- Trikes can't dodge road debris or potholes, one wheel gets punctures way more often
- crash if you touch the hard shoulder
- Get crushed by semis
- Parts way overpriced and unavailable in small towns or touring
- Choose: massive power loss from a comfy seat or peddling lying on a vibrating plank going straight through your spine
- tiny gay wheels can't do any off-road
- getting btfo by puddle water
- very hard to control at slow speeds
- crap turning circles
- stupidly long chainline and impossible to find 70+tooth chainrings
- neck strain or only marginal aero benefit over an upright
- tiller steering twitchy as fuck
- slower than a bike uphill, just as fast as an aero tuck downhill
- terminally lame
Re-(tard)-Cum-bent, get it?
