So, I purchased a cheap, $200 road bike off of marketplace for commuting to work:

It was recently tuned up by the previous owner, but I spent a little money to refresh the bits they didn't touch: New f/r brake pads, saddle, and i'll probably get a some full-sized fenders in the future.
My next purchase (much later) will be a 1x drivetrain. Maybe a 9 or 10 speed? The thing is, I don't want to spend a lot of money on this thing.
What would be the cheapest crank, derailleur, cassette, chain, STI shifter + brake lever I could purchase? I don't mind a mixture of new/used parts.
