Not even, that shit happened to me about 3 months ago. My 28mm wide tires going at near 30mph almost cut that squirrel in half, little guy was throwing up all his guts squirming on the ground. There was two squirrels and one was chasing the other across the street and that one didn't get so lucky, the other stared at me stare at his friend die, I felt terrible

I was thinking about stuff like that while on a recent ride. When casual cyclists aren't completely oblivious to their surroundings, they're over reacting to anything that startles them.

See squirrel, grab front brake as hard as they can and go over the bars.

I've seen tons of news stories where a cyclist gets honked at and immediately proceeds to crash into a parked car.

Back in October I had to bike in a massive rain and windstorm. I was getting to the bottom of the massive hill I live on top of ( hit 35+ mph coasting down it every morning) when I saw two deer on the left side of the road so I started yelling at them to get them to scatter before I got to them. One went out to the left, but another started running right through my lane. I got so close to it that I could hear its hooves clacking in front of my front wheel as it ran past. Nearly a disaster but if I would have died that would have been great. But man I would have probably had a totaled bike and been seriously injured, lying on the road in a rainstorm.

My cousin used to be an extensive bicycle rider, I remember a Facebook post where she ran over a squirrel (apparently its head), and the squirrel just shook its head back and forth. The squirrel's fate is unknown whether it became a vegetable or not, but how much of a lightweight do you have to be to flip a bicycle over a squirrel?
