and a lot of cartridge bearings in bikes are totally standardized.
They just have a little number on them, that's what they are, you can go to your local bearing shop, give them the number, and buy NTN or SKF or whatever, a very very good bearing, for $10 a pop.
You also CAN service most cartridge bearings. They have a lil seal you can pop off and spray out, and regrease. The're far less serviceable than cup and cone but they're not not serviceable.
I went and bought some bearings for some meme hub today. It was just like that. Easy. Standardized. The slightly complicated part is that pulling the bearing takes a $100 tool, so i'm getting a shop to do it, but that tool is probably diyable.
