>>1791862It depends on the weather, geography, distance, clothing, what you carry and the possibity of cleaning youself at work. I dont know how it is where you live, but i will tell you how I do.
Where i live is hot and dry, i got two little hills to go up, and a big one to go down, commute is 2,5km or 1,5miles, have to wear office clothes, i dont want to wear cycling clothes, i carry a backpack with water, mobile, lock, wallet and lunch, cant take a shower at work, office have ac.
What happens is that the commute is not long, it doesnt have many hills but i allways get a lot of sweat on my back because of the backpack.
The solution is, take a shower when i wake up, it reduces the smell and the amount of sweat, what you eat for dinner can make you smelly too. To not to get sweat on my back, i got a rack and i tie my backpack in there, i still sweat but its just the normal amount, like in the chest, the ac and water helps me to cool down and i stop sweating.
I ride slow, even if im late, i use a fixed gear but of course a bicylce with gears would make it easier to go up the hills with less effort.
Also, some people naturally sweat less, some sweat more, you shoul consider this too.
Hope it helps to you think on something.
