Isn't this just multi-modal (air, train, bus) code sharing that existed in Europe for decades at this point? I think the only difference is that they have to do marketing to convince people these new air travel inter-line buses aren't nasty and full of blacks like all the other buses.

Public transportation is stupid and there's no reason to go out of the United States. Every other country is a poor dystopian hellhole anyway. If I need to get somewhere, I'll just drive. Drove for 14 hours to New York yesterday, had a good time. Feels good to not be a europoor

What's interesting is how the concepts relates to airline history.
From a quick look at conditions of carriage, most airlines would charge you for ground transportation to/from the airport.
Imperial airways journeys started at the chosen hotel with included ground service to/from the airfield.

That's not the same as giving bus lines flight numbers, but it's surprisingly similar in practice.

Not really you cant connect every airport city with every airport city directly. Rail routes are not direct and include changing lines. All airports are connected with each other. Its next level infrastructure.
