Today I drove for 6 and a half hours. I just keep calm. Air on on max and sit there. Paid by the hour so I dont care if I get back late. You can easily rent a flat with drivers pay (2k a month). Best to work for out of London operators. Look for ones that dont have gay river monitoring systems.

My father has one of these in the company truck, and it's beyond belief.
He can't pull into the driveway like a normal person, he instead drives through the yard, circles around the house. Why? Because the company has a hard "no reversing" policy, and that includes your personal driveway. If he does reverse, it accrues some kind of bad boy points, and after a point he ineligible to drive company trucks until he completes driver's re-education.
He used to love his job, but shit like this makes him yearn for retirement.

I honestly dont mind them if they stick to the side of the road. Its when they take up the whole lane I chose to give them a hard time. Most of them forget its a 12 ton vehicle and think I'm going to stop when they go through on red and I have a green light (especially food delivery bikes)

Never been to bank, I'm more of a south east London driver. Honestly with the new laws regarding 1.5m distance I think cyclists are safer if the bus is behind. But on God I have had cyclists come up from behind between meself and a skip lorry. Some suicidal fuckers out there

Tried to become a train driver but failed one of the tests. Rather than wait 6 months I became a bus driver to get a good cash flow to invest in the meantime. If youre going to be a driver please PLEASE and I cant stress this enough, go for a smaller operator that doesnt have a driver monitoring system. Saves you so much hassle.

Can't they provide an alternative for them?
Around here you can operate non-accessible vehicles if there's a faster alternative available for the disabled.

They used to allow one number 15 with a NB4L and one 15u with an old RM. TfL first said it cost too much to run, which was bollocks, then they pulled the spastics card, then they pulled the environment card... Theyre just trying to pander to everyone and everything. Its shite. Never got to drive an RM and probably never will. Theyre parked in our garage all polished but havent moved in 3 years.

Its similar to the hybrids between 0 and 20 but from 20 upwards its quite rapid. Only issue is theres alot of fires happening with EVs. One today in Potters Bar and a few in Paris last month

for me, it's all the sauces. whatever bossman has, they're all going on there. even the really spicy one he only gives to brown people "haha no that one's not for you my friend". it bloody well is. I said all the sauces mate.
I think I did it once when I was having a "challenging" ketamine experience and couldn't decipher what he'd asked me so I just said "uh yeah a little bit of everything", it turned out to be really nice and I've done it ever since.

my heart was racing and my temperature was very high
they legitimately thought i was burning up from xtc, asked me constantly if i took any drugs

London firefighter here, also in the South East. Amongst appliance drivers it's widely established that bus drivers are absolute fucking retards when you guys see a vehicle approaching on blues and twos. Why is this and do you get any sort of input when you do your driver training?

Depends what company you work for. Go Ahead drivers (the largest operator) lack perspicacity and the ability to read the road more than 5cm from their noses. Stagecoach drivers tend to plan in advance and stop early. Only issue I have with fire engines is when we get to cycle lanes with bollard and the lorry is behind me. I stop and hope that the oncoming traffic does too so the truck can overtake (almost lost a mirror that way) but usually oncoming traffic keeps going so I floor it to the next safest point.

Dont know mate I dont work for Go Ahead. Our company uses (((greenroad))) which is a set of 3 traffic light coloured LEDs that flash depending on how your driving is. I usually stick an old saver ticket over it. If I ever got one of those buses that beeps when you look the wrong way for too long... how can I word it... my foot might be above the accelerator and I would "be shocked by the noise" and the bus hits a wall. You reap what you sow, eh?

What I heard about such device is that, despite their infrared wouldn't be visible to bare eyes, the power of the laser would still be able to make driver feel painful. There are unconfirmed rumors that putting paper on top of the device to cover the infrared up, could result in holes being burnt out of the paper by the infrared laser.

So much for driver retention. Two of our buses have this Ai Camera on it from Mobileye in Shitrael and it beeps whenever you drive up someones backside. EZ fix is a sticker to the windshield where the camera is stuck.
