Anons, could you please offer me some advice?
I'd like to start doing a bit of courier work in my spare time; I live somewhat rural, so it takes about 18km to get to town for me, and then another 25km for deliveries, with, of course, 18km to get back home.
I'd like to use an electric bicycle to build strength, as it is extremely difficult to cycle 60+ km a day on a regular basis.
>inb4 i cycle 500km an hour every day every week for the last 200 years, and i'm fine
I figured I should buy a budget e-bike, about 350W, with a spare battery.
However, now, having seen the prices and the lifespans of the batteries, I'm tempted by those gas-powered motorized bicycles - I had one as a kid, and I know what a pain they are.
I thought of getting a four-stroker, and using that.
Gas bicycles have only two distinct advantages over electric ones:
>infinite range
>significantly cheaper
But, I'm afraid those advantages nearly outweigh all the advantages of electric bikes for me.
What do you guys think?
My needs are such, in order of priority:
>be able to go about 60km a day
>be able to, once a week, tow a small trailer for grocery shopping and the like
>get healthy and bikepilled
>save as much money as possible doing so
>ideally get as much range as possible
Another note, the gas bikes are illegal here, but the cops don't give a shit.
Thanks in advance, anons.
