I started out with flat pedals. They were nice and all but all serious cyclists use clipless I thought.
So I got SPD pedals and 140$ MBT shoes. They were nice but all serious cyclists use SPDSL I thought again.
So I got SPDSL pedals and 250$ carbon fiber shoes.
After a two years of pretending to be a serious cyclists (sometimes cycling 110-120 KM a day) I realized that I will never be one and returned to flat pedals and honestly, I can't feel any major difference, apart from not looking as cool and (maybe) the cycling motion being less smooth.
There's just something about being able to hop off the bike and just walk around normally without looking like an weirdo.
Thank you for reading my blog.
