Some people say that after applying a primer you should then add the first spray paint layer, wait for it to dry completely, sand everything down again and apply another layer (and maybe repeat the process once more). Then apply the epoxy clear coat, give it a day or so to dry, sand everything down again, apply another clear coat layer. Is this overkill?
Because others are saying that you just need to apply primer, wait 30 minutes, apply the actual paint, wait 30 minutes to add another layer, wait 30 minutes and apply epoxy clear coat, wait 30 minutes and apply another layer. And only then sand things down as a finishing step to make the orange peel effect of the clear coat less pronounced.
