4.5 currently, which is the lowest number I've had in a decade, I had 22 at the high point back when I was actively flipping bikes on Craigslist.
1. modern carbon fred sled
2. old reliable steel road bike that doubles as a gravel bike
3. classic steel road bike with fancy chrome lugs that's a showpiece more than anything
4. old steel road bike that I leave at my office purely for going on lunchtime rides, so it doesn't count towards the total of bikes I have to store
5. do-everything commuting and errand running bike
3 and 4 I will eventually sell or gift to the right people, and generally I agree with
